A nota máxima é 1 mil.

Ambas informações baseadas no Censo Escolar 2013.
Almost 5000 schools had average less than 500 in 2013 Enem writing
Across the country, 4,900 schools had average below 500 in the wording of the note of the National Secondary Education Examination (Enem) 2013. They represent just over one third (33.87%) of the total 14.7 thousand schools whose results were released today (22). With this note, these institutions are classified as level 1, the lowest, according to the National Institute of Educational Studies Teixeira (INEP), responsible for the event.

With regard to individual performance, more than half of students from 3900 schools had grade below 500. The maximum score is 1000.

At the other end, only 16 schools had 800 or more on the average of writing notes, corresponding to level 5, the highest on the scale of INEP. A total of 9100 schools had some percentage of students at level 5. Only 39 had more than half of the students at this level.

Writing is the only part of the examination in which students have to write. The other tests are multiple choice. In 2013, the theme of the essay was Effects of Deployment of Prohibition in Brazil.

The correction of the composition test assesses five skills: standard norm of command of the written language; understanding of the draft proposal; ability to select, connect, organize and interpret information, facts, opinions and arguments for a point of view; knowledge of language mechanisms necessary for the construction of argument; elaboration of intervention proposed to the problem addressed, respected human rights.

This year, the INEP added new components in the dissemination of notes, socioeconomic status and teacher training. In addition to the average of the top 30 students of the institution.

In schools where more than half of the students was at level 1, most of the students have average socioeconomic low or medium level. This indicator is calculated from the level of parental education and ownership of goods and contracting of services by the family of the students.

The president of INEP, Francisco Soares, in general, the results are similar to previous years. "The selection has excellent students and have students with low performance, as in any survey. What is new is that we are qualifying [the results]. "

He said the socioeconomic status is important so that pose be developed policies to improve learning. "This reflects the inequality of Brazilian society, students bring about home and our school even realize offset the exclusions that society has created," he says.

The Census shows that there are 25,909 schools with at least one student in high school. For the dissemination of the results were considered schools with at least ten graduating high school students participating in the Enem in 2013 and who had at least 50% of the participants of the exam students. Both information based on the School Census 2013.

The 2013 Enem was made for more than 5 million students across the country. The notes are used for entry into public institutions, participating in an exchange program, obtaining scholarship and financing from private institutions, and certify high school.
